  4. I grew up enchanted by fairy tales. I also loved Aesop's Fables, but my favorites were the dark tales of Hans Christian Anderson.

  5. I think fairy tale retellings are fantastic! You get a sense of the familiar while also exploring known characters in a whole new way. Some are more loosely interpreted than others, but I think fairy tales are great inspiration!

  6. Fairy tales have been retold forever. I kind of wonder why now so many claim to be a fairy tale re-telling. I moved on from fairy tales fairly early as a kid and even now I'm not really drawn to the genre.
