My Review: {This book is for adult readers} --Sookie Book #1: This is a great introduction to the town of Bon Temps, LA and a simple waitress named Sookie Stackhouse who just happens to have a not so simple talent. She's telepathic.
The whole little town of Bon Temps is in a FangBanger state with the thoughts of Vampires coming there. You see, Vampires have just come out and made themselves public. There's even been an invention of a fake blood drink so they no longer have a need to feed on humans. But, get this, there's even donors--live donors that want the Vampires to feed from them.
Before you know, Sookie finds herself saving a Vampire {Bill Compton} and then in a relationship with the one that she saved....with yet another Vampire {Eric Northman} wanting her for his own.
To add to the sudden state of Vampire friends and relationships, which might I add, some people are completely for or completely against in the little town, there's some deaths.
Vampires at fault? You'll be surprised.
This is a must read. It is excellently written and you get a clear view into all the characters, what they do and how they're connected. There's some shocking turns and you'll never guess who's really causing all the problems in Bon Temps. Charlaine Harris even throws in a very remarkable Vampire. You'll find yourself wanting to jump right into book #2 as soon as you close this one.
